Highside in the high country. If you’ve never been to the charming town of Fairplay, you’re absolutely missing out. The smell of smoked BBQ fills the air in the wide open South Park County. Step inside for amazing mountain-crafted beers (rotating seasonal selections as well as staples you just can’t live without) and Colorado-style BBQ right from the smoker. Hang out inside and catch a game on one of many big screens, challenge yourself to some classic pinball and arcade games, or shoot some pool. Then, head outside to our dog-friendly patio and enjoy some epic views of the mountains.

Beer On Tap
Blue River IPA
Cold IPA
German malts and hops come together for a delicious IPA. Munich and light Cara malts provide a sturdy malt backbone for the Hallertau Blanc and Callista hops. Notes of white grape, lemongrass, gooseberry, apricot, and peach with a little diggity dankness on the end.
Trip Leader
IPA - American
Aromas of pine, grapefruit and hints of tropical fruit blended with a touch of yeasty breadlines. What follows is a delicious blend of citrus and pine finished with a malty backbone. Body and mouthfeel are medium to medium light to allow the hops to shine.
As raft guides go, we like to hit both sides of the river or both “coasts” and this IPA is a representation of that.
Alturnatana WCIPA
IPA - American
In this WCIPA we utilized Altus and Sultana hops for a bright tropical flavor and aroma! Notes of pineapple, tangerine, and lemon meringue with a hint of resinous pine make this iteration highly quaffable. Light malt sweetness balances the higher bitterness leaving you reaching for another taste!
Idaho Suds
IPA - Session
Our Session IPA brings effervescent hop character and crushability together! Singlehandedly hopped with Idaho 7 hops and brewed predominately with pilsner malt, Idaho Suds is a crisp and hoppy West Coast-Style Session IPA brewed with the intention of high drinkability while experiencing the nuances of hops we love. We taste notes of pine resin, orange peel, and OG cannabis with a light honeydew melon finish.
Senior Guide IPA
IPA - New England / Hazy
Highside's core Hazy IPA, Senior Guide! Mosaic, Citra, and Azacca give this beer plenty of orange citrus flavor and mango stone fruit aromas, while it stays low in bitterness. Wheat, oats, and a high hopping rate help give the requisite "juiciness" that has pushed the New England style to the height of popularity. Whether you're out rafting some of Colorado's great rapids or just cracking a cold one after a long day, Senior Guide is sure to quench your thirst!
Rookie Guide
Pale Ale - New England / Hazy
The Rookie Guide is an easy drinking hazy pale ale with bright citrus notes and a very clean finish. El Dorado hops might be a bit basic in the realm of hoppy beers, but the Kashmir hops bring out a deliciously unique flavor

Side-Piste Pilsner
Pilsner - French
French Malt with French Aramis and Mistral Hops make for a unique flavor profile in this crisp, hoppy Pilsener style brew. The French Hops provide a noble like spicy, herbal quality with subtle notes of peach and melon with a citrusy background. French Pilsen and Vienna Malts lend a solid backbone with a slightly sweet finish.
Ranger's Original
Lager - American Light
Ranger's Original - American Lager. Lagered for 7 weeks, carefully “soft-crashed”, brewed using American Pale malt, a touch of flaked corn, and Hersbrucker hops. This beer can be described as crisp, clean, and balanced with a subtle cracker maltiness and delicate floral hop aroma. Also crushable AF.
This beer is a collaboration with our friends at Middle Way Horse Sanctuary in Fairplay, named after one of their horses “Ranger". A portion of the beer proceeds have been donated to their mission!
173 Steps Pale
Hoppy Lager
173 steps from the Breckenridge Gondola, you'll find this easy drinking lager at our Breck Taphouse! With a generous dose of Alora hops. A light malt sweetness tempers the light bitterness letting flavors of subtle apricot, yuzu fruit, and sweet melon shine.
Mt. Royal Red Lager
Lager - Amber / Red
This German Style Red Lager is Smooth and Awesome!
Highside Dunkel
Lager - Munich Dunkel
Munich malt lends a healthy dose of malty, bready, and toasty flavor with just a touch of nutty like sweetness. The darker colour belies a light body with a hint of roast for a smooth tasty finish.
Hoosier Hefe
Wheat Beer - Hefeweizen
Our take on the classic German Hefeweizen. Unfiltered and unfined, Hoosier Hefe bursts with notes of bubblegum, banana, and yeast-derived clove. Brewed using healthy amounts of wheat and german hops, our Hefeweizen is balanced, and refreshing; a beer to look forward to on either side of Hoosier pass.
Highside Mexican Candy
Sour with Mango, Chamoy, and Chile blend
Inspired by some of our favorite Mexican candies, Highside Mexican Candy is a Sour Ale made with real mango, chamoy, and a blend of guajillo and ancho chiles!
Lift Line Barleywine
Barleywine - English
Our English-Style Barleywine aged in Breckenridge Bourbon Barrels. Rich molasses, brown sugar, dark fruit, and a cheeky touch of oak all come together like a warm hug. It's best sipped slowly or shared with friends after a day of fun on the mountain. Cheers!
Night Skiing
Stout - Milk / Sweet
Chocolate flavors, milk silkiness with the right balance of dark roasted malts for a smooth run. It is exciting, just like skiing down the slopes at night. Pure heaven in a glass!
